Membership & Events Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) is seeking a dynamic and organized Membership and Events Coordinator to play a key role in the organization's growth and outreach efforts. The Membership and Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing membership activities, coordinating events and conferences and enhancing member engagement. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual who is committed to supporting career and technical education in Ohio.

About Ohio ACTE: Ohio ACTE is a leading professional organization dedicated to advancing career and technical education (CTE) in Ohio. We provide resources, support and advocacy to CTE educators, administrators and stakeholders to enhance the quality of education and workforce development in the state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Membership Management
  • Process new member applications and renewals.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and databases.
  • Respond to member inquiries, provide support and address membership-related issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership retention and growth.
  • Create and distribute membership communications, including newsletters and updates.
• Event Coordination
  • Plan and execute Ohio ACTE's events and conferences, including but not limited to annual meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, registration and materials preparation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and sponsors to ensure successful event execution.
  • Manage event budgets and financial transactions.
  • Assist in marketing and promoting events to maximize attendance.
• Member Engagement
  
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member engagement and involvement.
  • Collaborate with committees and volunteers to create valuable member experiences.
  • Organize networking opportunities and member-focused initiatives.
  • Collect feedback and conduct surveys to assess member needs and preferences.
• Communication
  • Create and distribute event and membership-related communications through various channels, including email, social media and the organization's website.
  • Assist in content creation for newsletters, reports and promotional materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in membership management, event coordination or related roles
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace and membership database software
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Passion for education and a commitment to the mission of Ohio ACTE

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with demonstrated experience)
