Membership and Program Assistant

County Engineers Association of Ohio

The County Engineers Association of Ohio is currently seeking a Membership and Program Assistant to team with its Executive Director, Board of Directors and other staff members. The ideal candidate will need to be a reliable team player with a general understanding of office procedures, non profits and conference planning.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of two years of customer service or member service experience required, preferably in a trade association or hotel setting
Ability to work with statewide membership and vendors
Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) and QuickBooks
Experience with data entry and website updates using content management system
Proven organization and time management skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail and accuracy
Accounting functions to include processing accounts receivable and invoicing
General office administrative functions such as greeting guests at our reception desk, answering phones, filing, copying, mailings, processing conference registrations, and other special projects as assigned
Ability to work on-site during the association’s conferences and events
Occasional overnight travel required during conferences/events and regional meetings

Minimum Educational Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in communications, education, business, public administration or related accounting field from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Recent college graduates welcome. This position is located in our Columbus, Ohio office.
