Ready to Help in Texas
In recent days, a number of states in the southern and western United States, including Arizona and Florida, have seen a significant surge in cases. Nowhere has this surge been more dramatic, however, than Texas, where the state has had to roll back some of its reopening efforts.
Accordingly, the Texas Medical Association (TMA) is working to increase its COVID-19 response and has been sounding the alarm in recent days. In a June 24 note, TMA President Diana L. Fite, MD, said that the group was working with state and local officials and fellow associations such as the Texas Hospital Association.
