There is still time to register for American Associations Day, ASAE’s legislative fly-in, which will take place March 28-29 on Capitol Hill.
At this year’s fly-in, ASAE advocates will urge Congress to repeal a 21 percent tax on the value of so-called fringe benefits – such as free parking or mass transit assistance – that nonprofits provide to employees. Included as part of the 2017 tax law, this tax on employee benefits projects as a huge burden for associations, churches and other types of nonprofit groups.
Registration for American Associations Day is free and the two-day agenda includes a half day of information-sharing and networking at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill and a joint reception with the ASAE Board on the evening of March 28.
