Member Engagement Manager

The American Ceramic Society is recruiting a Member Engagement Manager to join their team. The qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3+ years relevant, progressively responsible experience, in a similar membership capacity.

This position provides support to young professionals and undergrad and grad student programs. Market the Society, implement membership marketing, recruitment and retention programs. This is a full-time position, reporting to the director of membership, located in the American Ceramic Society’s Westerville, Ohio, headquarters office.

Position requirements and principal responsibilities:

Bachelor degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in association management, member services, and/or volunteer recruitment and management
Responsible for data management and integrity
Experienced in association management systems (AMS) to collect and organize member information
Plan, execute, and achieve membership recruitment, retention, revenue, and services goals
Develop tools and feedback mechanisms to gauge member satisfaction
Understand basic budgeting and expense management
Must be a creative and assertive leader with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strong writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
Ability to work with a range of internal and external contacts
Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products and data management
Travel required to American Ceramic Society meetings and conferences
