The American Sociological Association’s (ASA) 113th Annual Meeting begins this weekend in Philadelphia. Attendance is expected to exceed 5,000.
More than 5,000 researchers, educators, practitioners, decision-makers and students involved in the scientific study of society will make their way to Philadelphia this week to share knowledge and new directions in research and practice.
Following pre-conferences and courses earlier in the day, ASA 2018 will start Friday evening with an opening plenary and welcome reception. The plenary session will feature a panel of university-based sociologists who will discuss the multiple ways in which emotions matter in racial affairs.
