Ohio Innovation Trail showcases the state's ingenuity
Football and vacuums are showcased as part of America 250-Ohio's newest driving trail.
American 250-Ohio as unveiled the Ohio Innovation Trail - about 80 sites across the Buckeye State celebrating Ohio's inventiveness. It is the fourth of six trails in the Trails & Tales program created in partnership with the Ohio Travel Association (OTA).
Tourism leaders launched the trail on Nov. 18 at Carillon Historical Park in Dayton. The trail features the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton and the Hoover Historical Center in North Canton. America 250-Ohio cited the fact that the American Professional Football Association, now known as the NFL, was founded in Canton in 1920, and the Hoover Co. started making vacuums in the community.
