U.S. Travel Shares Toolkit for Global Meetings Industry Day

It will be celebrated April 11, 2024

The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) recently joined the U.S. Travel Association (USTA) and more than 70 members of the Meetings Mean Business Coalition in encouraging the industry to celebrate Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on April 11, 2024.

Why it matters: GMID is an international day of awareness and advocacy showcasing the value of business meetings, trade shows, incentive travel, exhibitions, conferences and conventions to the economy.

What's next: U.S. Travel has made GMID advocacy easy by preparing a toolkit with helpful resources, including key messages and graphics, to engage on April 11 and amplify the campaign’s #MeetingsMatter message. U.S. Travel is also encouraging groups that are planning GMID events worldwide to register here.

  • By the numbers: Last year, GMID generated 45 million impressions worldwide; 70 events in 35 countries and more than 365 media mentions.
