Activate Your Inner Genius by Challenging Boundaries

Encourage dormant genius by promoting an innovative culture

Back in 1968, NASA commissioned general systems scientist George Land to evaluate the creative potential of school children. He and program architect Beth Jarman administered a specially designed examination to 1,600 five-year-olds. The results were illuminating... and terrifying.

Ninety-eight percent of the subjects performed at a genius-level for imaginative and innovative thinking ability. However, when the same children were tested five years later, only 30 percent of the 10-year-olds demonstrated genius. By age 15, the number had fallen to 12 percent.

And there's no indication that anything has improved since then. Among adults, a mere 2 percent demonstrate creative genius. Clearly, something has gone terribly wrong in our education system.
