Pappas & Associates Adds State Government Policy Professional Alex Moormann

Moormann will lobby the Ohio legislature on behalf of TPP's key clients

Thomas P. Pappas & Associates (TPP) today announced that state government policy professional Alex Moormann has joined its office as a lobbyist. Moormann will lobby the Ohio legislature on behalf of TPP's key clients, which include Fortune 100 companies, America’s largest retailers, professional sports leagues, major healthcare interests, cutting-edge technology entities and more.“Alex is an outstanding addition to the TPP team,” said Thomas P. Pappas, TPP's founder and CEO. “The experience he brings to the table, from multiple areas of state government, will undoubtedly help us to continue delivering difference-making results for our clients.”Moormann brings years of experience in executive branch policy, legislative advocacy, communications and political campaigns to his new role at TPP. He most recently served as a legislative liaison for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. In that position, Moormann worked to pass and implement education legislation related to fair school funding, report card reform, teacher licensure reform, career technical school grants and financial literacy. Additionally, Moormann served in both government relations and public relations roles for the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities agency, assisting people who have disabilities in finding and maintaining meaningful employment. There, he helped develop new legislation to make Ohio more accessible for individuals with disabilities, assisted the governor's office with the implementation of major policy programs and led the agency's social media campaigns to better educate all Ohioians about available government services. And, perhaps most importantly, Moormann fully understands the Ohio political environment. He previously led grassroots efforts for a state-level campaign for the Ohio House of Representatives, which canvassed more than 180,000 homes, conducted countless phone banking days and generated successful fundraising efforts. Moormann, a Westerville resident, is a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
