ASAE Announces 127 New Professionals Earned the CAE Credential

This includes three professionals from Ohio

One hundred and twenty-seven association executives recently earned their Certified Association Executive (CAE®) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,500 industry leaders around the globe. 

The Winter 2023 class of CAEs successfully completed the CAE examination administered worldwide Dec. 1-14, 2023. They will be honored, along with the May 2024 class of CAEs, during the 2024 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Cleveland August 10-12. You are now part of our CAE community of dedicated professionals who have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skills that are essential in association management. By earning your CAE credential, your expertise will make a significant impact in association management that will benefit individuals, communities, and industries at the national, state, and local levels”, said Juan Amador, FASAE, CAE, Chair of the CAE Commission and Executive Director of the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).

The three recipients from Ohio are:

  • Angela Gibian, CAE; deputy chief executive; The Forging Industry Association (Lakewood)

  • Natalie Nemanic, CAE; executive vice president; BOMA Greater Cleveland (Cleveland), and 

  • Barry Schieferstein, CAE; director, events;  The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (Columbus) 

"We are very excited for the three new CAEs who reside and practice their skills here in Ohio," said OSAP President & CEO Jarrod A. Clabaugh, CAE. "This accreditation is the highest mark of association excellence in the association management community. These three people worked hard to achieve this accreditation and they must be applauded for this achievement." 

The CAE Program elevates professional standards, enhances individual performance, and designates those who have acquired and demonstrated the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
