If you've followed my column over the years, you probably know I'm a big believer in emotional intelligence (EQ). Yet many skeptics of EQ maintain that IQ still holds the edge for career success. That's true.

Well, sort of.

Daniel Goleman, the author of arguably the most famous book on emotional intelligence, reveals that while IQ is necessary, it loses its dominance after a certain point. If you want to elevate your leadership game and climb the proverbial corporate ladder, EQ, the experts assert, trumps IQ.
