Amazon to Invest in 2 Ohio Solar Farms

This is part of Amazon’s goal of relying entirely on renewable energy by 2030.

Amazon’s latest investment in Ohio is solar farms. The online retailer has announced five new solar projects around the world — two in Ohio and one each in Virginia, China and Australia. The projects are part of Amazon’s goal of relying entirely on renewable energy by 2030.

Amazon’s announcement about its Ohio investments did not say where the solar farms are. The company declined to comment further, but the size of the farms match two under development in southwest Ohio.

One, the Nestlewood Solar Farm, an 80-megawatt project planned for Brown and Clermont counties, received approval from state regulators last month.
