  • The United States recorded nearly 13,500 more deaths are now attributed to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in March and the first two weeks of April.
  • President Donald Trump moved to replace the top watchdog at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) after her office released a report on the shortages in testing and personal protective gear at hospitals during the coronavirus pandemic.
  • Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said that he reversed course on requiring Ohioans to wear masks, calling the order “a bridge too far.”
