Coronavirus Tracker: Meeting Planners Embrace Virtual Events

VIRTUAL EVENTS TAKING HOLD
Whether it’s postponing an event, taking it virtual, or canceling it outright, associations have been making tough choices about their in-person meetings since the coronavirus pandemic hit. But the latest Association Impact Snapshot survey by the ASAE Research Foundation (responses collected April 6-9) shows a distinct shift toward executing virtual meetings and away from cancellation, compared to two weeks ago.

While that shift is less pronounced in some event categories than others, more event planners said they were going the virtual route for events of all sizes:
