Ohio BWC Board to Meet on April 10, 2020

The emergency session has been called to address challenges related to COVID-19

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) board of directors will meet in an emergency session on Friday, April 10, 2020 to consider sending Ohio employers up to $1.6 billion in dividends to ease the economic impact of COVID-19.

The meeting will begin with a report from the board’s audit committee.

On Wednesday, Governor Mike DeWine announced the dividend proposal at his daily press briefing Wednesday. If approved by the board, the bureau will start sending checks to employers later this month.
