Free Admission with Food Donation to the First Night of Columbus Zoo Wildlights

The Mid-Ohio Foodbank, Kroger and Columbus Zoo are making this possible

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Kroger are teaming up to tackle the issue of hunger in Central Ohio.

The groups are offering free admission to the Wildlights on Friday, Nov. 15 to anyone who donates five non-perishable food items at the gate.

"This event has become tradition for many families in our area. Not only are we able to offer free admission to guests, but we collect a substantial amount of food for Mid-Ohio Foodbank and its network of pantries. Since 2013, we’ve collected nearly 400,000 lbs. of food – that is a significant step toward our goal of Zero Hunger|Zero Waste," said Amy McCormick, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger, in a released statement,
