BWC Sends Private Employer Policy Year 2019 Renewal Update

Updated information for the new policy year will be uploaded within the 10 days

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) announced that Private Employer (PA) policies have renewed for the 07/01/2019 - 07/01/2020 policy year in BWC’s system. The payroll information for the new policy year did not include rating plans, rebate programs or the effective Experience Modifier (EM). 

The premium calculations are based on the base rate for each assigned manual. Updated information for the new policy year will be loaded into PS over the next week to 10 days. All policy year information will be in place by May 1, 2019, the date that Employers will begin receiving the Estimated Annual Premium notice.

The payroll history service offering on BWC’s website currently reflects the same information that is in BWC’s system for the policy year beginning 07/01/2019. The website will be updated with the rating information in conjunction with the updates to the system.
