Daniel's Law Passes Through The Ohio House

It is set to head to the governor's desk

A Germantown father is one step closer to getting a law passed in his late son’s honor.

On Nov. 14, 2018, the Ohio House of Representatives unanimously passed House Bill (HB) 167 named after Scott Weidle’s son, Daniel, who passed away in 2015 from an overdose while waiting for treatment for his opioid addiction.

A companion bill, Senate Bill (SB) 119, passed through the House last year. Once it’s decided which version will go to the governor for review, the governor has until December 31 to sign the bill into law.
