Membership Hack: Chapter Leaders as Conference Promoters

Encourage chapter leaders to promote your annual conference

The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) organizes a competition to encourage chapter leaders to promote its annual conference. Participants get two free conference registrations, plus chances to win prizes.

How to hack it? The ACG Chapter Challenge is an annual competition that rewards chapter leaders who effectively use social media, including chapter Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, to promote ACG’s annual conference, InterGrowth.

Why does it work? Chapter leaders who complete the challenge—by making 12 or more social posts in the five months before InterGrowth—receive two complimentary registrations. And the three chapters with the most members in attendance receive gift cards and baskets.
