Member Services Manager

They're working to improve the quality and availability of recycled plastic in key regions of the country by directing the equivalent of $400 million to The Recycling Partnership and Closed Loop Partners through a new $100 million industry fund that will be matched three-to-one by other grants and investors.
The Position: They’re looking for a Manager of Member Services who is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with the overall business operations and administration of the Ohio Beverage Association (OhioBev) statewide office. This member-focused position also assists in the execution of internal and external projects related to social media, public relations, event planning and other member services. Key Responsibilities:
Event and Program Planning
- You will organize/plan meetings and appointments including board meetings, Annual Legislative Day, facility tours and National Fly-In.
- You will plan and identify internal and external project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders updated.
- You will provide recommendations in the development of new programs and initiatives for the organization.
- You will promote and maintain effective working relationships with the association members, contacts, legislators, government officials and vendors.
Communications/Social Media
- You will compose simple to complex communication documents including monthly editorial calendars for various social media platforms and e-newsletters.
- You will assist the Executive Director with OhioBev’s overall public information program including but not limited to mailings, e-newsletters, short format videos and podcasting.
- You will create and manage website content/updates and liaise with external website development firm.
- You will monitor daily communications, including newspaper articles and social media posts, for information relevant to the association and the beverage industry.
Administrative/Membership Support
- You will assist members with all inquiries, providing exceptional and timely customer service.
- You will process bills for payment, purchase supplies and equipment as approved, and oversee essential records as directed, with exceptional attention to detail.
- You will maintain the association’s internal directories.
- You will perform general office duties as assigned (e.g. answering and screening calls, maintaining files, delivering and picking up information)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in communication and membership services, preferably in a non-profit association setting.
- Ability to multitask, work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent, articulate, personable and diplomatic customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of video editing, podcasting highly desirable but not required.
- Proven project management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
