Membership and Corporate Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Ohio State Medical Association is seeking a membership and corporate sales manager. This position will be responsible for all direct sales activities to individual physicians, practices and corporate entities.

For physicians, this will include individual memberships, associate memberships and individual giving to the OSMA Foundation and OSMA Political Action Committee. For corporate entities, this will include corporate sponsorships for the OSMA and corporate contributions to the OSMA Foundation. The majority of time spent in this position will be interacting with prospects including virtually and in person.

This position will work with other members of the membership, advocacy and foundation teams and report directly to the CEO.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute monthly and annual prospecting plan with specific sales goals.
  • Execute direct outreach and engagement for physician membership recruitment including electronic, phone and in person interactions.
  • Execute direct outreach and engagement for corporate sponsorship recruitment including electronic, phone and in person interactions.
  • Work directly with other members of membership and communications team to document interactions in the database and follow up individual inquiries.
  • Work directly with marketing team to coordinate marketing plan and individual outreach.
  • Work with CEO and membership team on retention activities.
  • In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities outlined above, all OSMA staff will on occasion be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

  • 2-5 years experience in sales, preferably in an association setting or healthcare environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong communications skills.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Ability to travel in Ohio as needed. Could include evening events or overnight stays.
