Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 6,701 newly confirmed cases and 288 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours. There were 79 deaths reported in the 24-hour period.
ODH also reported 799,639 confirmed cases, 9,881 deaths and 42,151 hospitalizations. The department reported 656,433 presumed recoveries.
ODH is now including antigen test results in the total number of cases (confirmed and probable). Governor Mike DeWine said antigen tests are "a bigger part of the overall picture of understanding COVID-19" and that it's important to capture that information.
