Join OSAE for 2012 Congressional Visits

Sign up for American Associations Day March 14-15

Too often members of Congress don't know who to turn to for information; every day they are considering issues important to your members and they call other groups, some of which may be opposed to your issues.  How can you prevent that? 

Join OSAE at American Associations Day 2012 in Washington, D.C. March 14-15 and stand up for the association community. 

As an attendee you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your members of Congress and discuss important association issues, such as OGE association meetings rule, nonprofit governance protection, tax status protection, PPACA reforms, the Power of A.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to share with Ohio’s delegation your association’s presence and impact in the state. 

And ASAE can help bring you to Washington, D.C. - attendees can apply to receive a $300 travel scholarship that can help offset travel costs.  Once you arrive ASAE will train you on how to most effectively meet with your members of Congress. 

Associations have achieved so many legislative successes over the past few years: repealing the new 1099 requirement, protecting the charitable deduction, adding nonprofits to a small employer tax credit, and promoting association meetings as economic drivers.  Those successes are due to association executives creating lasting connections with their members of Congress.  American Associations Day is your chance to create those connections and lay the groundwork for future legislative successes, both for the association community and your own association.
