ASAE to Host Post-election Analysis Program

It will review the midterm election results, their expected impact on associations

The election will bring many changes to how associations navigate state and federal policy issues. To help its members prepare, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) will host a program, Midterm Election Review: Impact on Your Government Relations Strategy, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 8.

The program will review the midterm election results and assess the impact on associations’ legislative agendas in 2019 and beyond.  The midterm election review program, supported by ASAE’s Power of A program and the Government Relations Section Council, is part of ASAE’s Government Relations Symposium Series.

The keynote speaker for the program is Simone Pathe, senior politics reporter at CQ Roll Call. Following her election analysis, a panel featuring Stephen Caldeira, president and CEO, Household & Commercial Products Association, and Tiffany Shackelford, chief strategic officer, National Governors Association, will discuss how the elections impact associations and the states.

The Nov. 8 program will be held at ASAE’s offices in Washington, D.C. The program is $149 for members and $199 for nonmembers. It includes two (2) CAE credit hours. To register, please visit the ASAE website here.
