OSDA Supports Cincinnati’s First Ladies for Health Initiative

Sixteen host locations with 35 participating churches offered free health screenings and other health-related services

Connecting face-to-face with moms is one of the ways the Ohio Soft Drink Association (OSDA) loves to share the Balance Calories message. For that reason, the organization welcomed the opportunity to return to Cincinnati this fall to partner with the First Ladies for Health (FLFH) project.

FLFH is a volunteer group that leverages the leadership of the First Ladies (Pastors’ wives) and other church representatives to help parishioners and community members make informed decisions about their health.

Once again, OSDA was a partner of the FLFH Family Health Screening Day, which was held across Cincinnati churches on Oct. 8. Sixteen host locations with 35 participating churches offered free health screenings and other health-related services. More than 45 community partners and about 500 volunteers are involved with the effort.
