Researcher Seeks Input for Study on Knowledge-sharing Practices in Nonprofit Organizations

Findings will be used to assist associations in strengthening their growth strategies

Recently, OSAE received a request from an academic researcher in Philadelphia who is in the midst of a study on knowledge-sharing practices in nonprofit membership organizations. Because you work within the association community, you are invited to participate in a research project to examine the dissemination, and use, of knowledge within nonprofit membership organizations. This survey is part of a doctoral dissertation at Temple University’s Fox School of Business.

As a fellow association professional, based in the Philadelphia, Todd Von Deak understands that our schedules are busier than ever and appreciates you considering to participate in this survey, which is 25 questions long and should take approximately 7-10 minutes to complete.

The survey can be accessed by selecting this link.

Information gathered from this survey will be stored in password-protected files and results reported in aggregate. Von Deak does ask you to identify the organization with which you are affiliated solely to present the findings accurately. Upon your completion of the study, the research team will make a $5 donation to the Ohio Society of Association Executives Foundation (OSAEF). Upon completion of the study, Von Deak intends to share the findings without cost to participating parties or without the need to share your contact information in industry publications and conference presentations.

Von Deak believes that this research will aid association managers in strengthening their strategies for how they acquire and act on knowledge for strategic gain.

If you have any questions about this research, please contact Von Deak directly at tuf62889@temple.edu.
