OSAE Joins Coalition to Support Business Education

The coalition's initiatives also tie closely to the OSAE Foundation mission

MBA Research and Curriculum Center recently welcomed the Ohio Society of Association Executives (OSAE) as a new member of the Ohio affiliate of the National Business Coalition for Education. The coalition consists of professional/trade associations, foundations and chambers of commerce. It is a partnership between coalition members, the Ohio Department of Education and MBA Research and Curriculum Center. The goal is to provide a skilled workforce for Ohio businesses with a focus on management, marketing and finance. The concept is designed to help strengthen and promote business administration programs in Career Technical Education (CTE).

The MBA Research and Curriculum Center (MBA Research) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is owned and operated through a consortium of 29 state education departments across the country. MBA Research offers a total instructional system that includes industry-validated national standards, curriculum, instructional resources, and assessments in the areas of business administration including management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Since its founding in 1938, OSAE has provided a variety of tangible services and benefits that enhance growth, development and professional expertise among its membership. As a nonprofit serving Ohio's powerful association industry, OSAE is committed to its leadership role among Ohio's associations, serving as the indispensable resource for association executives.

“We are excited to work with MBA Research and Curriculum Center as OSAE and our members understand the vital role that education plays in shaping the minds of our state’s future leaders and in driving innovation and business in the Buckeye State,” said OSAE Executive Director Jarrod A. Clabaugh. “Few recognize the powerful role associations play not only on the state level but on the national forefront; we believe that our relationship with MBA Research and Curriculum Center will help cultivate great talent from today’s students enrolled in business administration programs within the CTE segment and strengthen countless business industries, including Ohio’s association community. The initiatives also closely align with those of the OSAE Foundation and its vision for the future of the industry.”

“MBA Research and Curriculum Center approaches business engagement as part of our commitment to support member state departments of education in their effort to provide high quality CTE business administration programs in management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship’” said Rick Mangini, MBA Research and Curriculum Project Director. “MBA Research is committed to facilitating opportunities for states to establish and nurture relationships with business and to engage business representatives who can assist with state agendas for business and marketing. Our partnership with OSAE will help business students across Ohio as they prepare to enter the workforce.”
