Columbus Dental Society Appoints Association Industry Veteran as its New Executive Director

Michael O'Toole named as organization's new leader


Michael OTooleThe Columbus Dental Society has announced Michael O’Toole, CAE, as the Society’s new Executive Director.

A Certified Association Executive (CAE) with more than 20 years’ experience in association management, O’Toole focuses his commitment to excellence by targeting and reinforcing the value of leadership, education and meetings oversight. Prior to his role with the Society, O’Toole worked for ASM International; The American Ceramic Society; The Ohio Lumbermen’s Association; and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

“I am very excited about my new role with the Columbus Dental Society,” O’Toole said. “Not only is the organization committed to advancing the dental profession through education, advocacy, programs, and products that serve their members, it is a strong leader in promoting the oral health and welfare of the public that they serve. This is a phenomenal organization, and I cannot over-stress how excited I am to be serving our members.”

The Columbus Dental Society is the professional dental organization that serves as the local component of the Ohio Dental Association whose predominate membership is from Franklin and Madison Counties. The Society represents nearly 80 percent of the dentists in these regions.
