There is much fun to be had on Lake Erie's shores
Because the Ohio Society of Association Executives (OSAE) believes in the importance of providing meeting attendees with opportunities to make new acquaintances and create long-lasting connections, the CVB Showcase options have been designed to allow attendees to engage with one another in a casual, fun atmosphere all the while learning more about Sandusky.
Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a long-time OSAE member, why not start your Annual Conference experience by building new and strengthening existing relationships?
We encourage you to discover Sandusky! Your time here is too brief to begin to experience all the community has to offer; however, OSAE hopes you’ll enjoy participating in one of these scheduled activities. Clearly, you’ll have to come back for more!
Put-in-Bay Adventure
Departs at 10:00 a.m. | $45
Start your tour with a wonderful ride and lunch aboard the Jet Express ferry to South Bass Island/Put-in-Bay. Once you arrive at this picturesque island, you will be transported back in time to the 19th century at the Put-in-Bay Winery and Doller Estate Tour. This historic home and winery was once home to one of the island's wealthiest families: the Dollers. Enjoy island-made wine samples as you tour the home and property before heading off to Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, where you will learn about more island history and have the chance to view the islands from a birds-eye view at the top of this 352 ft. tall monument! Please know that this is a walking tour and will take place rain or shine.

Can’t get enough Lake Erie Love? Well, join this tour to have another taste of Lake Erie Love Light beer from the Catawba Island Brewing Company. Learn about their facilities and the art of brewing beer, all while enjoying a variety of beer styles in their tasting room. After the beer, enjoy the tastes of Great Lakes Popcorn by sampling flavors from the traditional caramel corn to bubble gum to wild walleye. Afterwards, you will be off to lunch in the historic Island House/1812 Food & Spirits. While dining, learn about the history of this amazing property. Following lunch, browse the shops of downtown Port Clinton.

Have you ever wanted to be an astronaut? With over 6,400 acres, the NASA Glenn Plum Brook Station draws researchers from across the globe to this world-renowned testing facility. See the location where scenes from the recent blockbuster Avengers movie were shot at this amazing facility! Come and experience this amazing center for yourself. Learn about the various testing facilities, tour the grounds and see some of the testing sites in action. This one-of-a-kind tour is sure to be out of this world! After this tour, enjoy a cooking demonstration and lunch at Kalahari, presented by one of Kalahari’s amazing chefs.
