Office Manager/Conference Coordinator

County Engineers Association of Ohio

County Engineers Association of Ohio seeks an energetic Office Manager/Conference Coordinator to team with its Executive Director, Board of Directors and other staff members.  The candidate will need to be a mature partner to the association, sufficiently understanding accounting, bookkeeping and conference planning.  The ideal candidate for this position must be flexible to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessary. This is an excellent position for an individual who would like to join a fast-paced and growing organization. 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight years of member service experience required, preferably in a trade association or hotel management setting
  • Knowledge of conference planning principles and practices
  • Ability to work with statewide membership and vendors
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products, experience with entry and web updates using content management system
  • Proven organization and time management skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail and accuracy  
  • Self-starter with ability to work without close supervision
  • Minimal travel required 

Minimum Educational Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in communications, education, business, public administration or related accounting field from a four-year college or university.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Education/Experience Qualifications:
The above mentioned minimum educational experience qualifications with eight to ten years related work experience.
