The popular TV show, “Who’s Line Is It Anyway” is a form of improvisation.  Did you know that the core principles of improvisation are the same core principles in efficient, effective, and productive teams?  This is an interactive, high-energy workshop that will introduce and reinforce these core principles into your team. 

The skills needed in effective improvisation are the same skills that are used in building successful teams.  Improvisation is based on the principles of: trust, respect, support, adaptation, listening, and communication.

Through trust and teamwork, businesses can achieve remarkable results. The question many managers and owners are challenged with today is how to develop and foster a team environment that leads to organizational productivity and profitability. “Building Stronger Teams by Using Improvisation,” is a high-energy and interactive workshop that will help your team learn how humor and improvisation can lead to success and ultimately a more productive and profitable business.


Peter MargaritasAbout the Presenter

Peter Margaritis is an author, keynote speaker, trainer, and CEO of The Accidental Accountant, an organization committed to helping business leaders strengthen their business success skills and to create positive results. Over the past 30 years, Peter has managed, recruited, developed, hired and even fired individuals – he knows firsthand how to develop successful teams. He has sold products ranging from bank loans to corporate incentive certificates. In addition, he has created compensation matrices; analyzed financial statements; designed and delivered accounting and professional skills courses. In addition to his extensive expertise, audiences will enjoy an informational address from an accountant who has performed stand-up and improvisational comedy.

Through his experiences in business and training in improvisational comedy, he brings a fresh perspective and approach on how to develop non-technical, professional skills training like Presentation Skills, Business Development Skills and Leadership Skills. With every client his goal is the same: Use Improvisation To Create Positive Results.

As a speaker and trainer Peter has delivered hundreds of seminars, conferences, workshops, and keynotes on both technical and non-technical topics to clients that include Fortune 500 companies, large and national regional accounting firms, state CPA associations and the American Institute of CPAs. In addition, he currently teaches select courses for the American Institute of CPAs and The Mind Gym.

Credit Hours

As a CAE Approved Provider educational program related to the CAE exam content outline, CAE Approvedthis program may be applied for three (3) credits toward your CAE application or renewal professional development requirements.

Consent to use of photographic images: Registration and attendance at or participation in OSAE meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to OSAE’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image in photographs, videotapes, and electronic reproduction of such events and activates.

All cancellations received by August 26, 2016 will be honored with a full refund. A 60 percent surcharge will be retained for cancellations received August 27-August 31, 2016.  Onsite registration fees apply. No credits or refunds will be issued after that date.  NO SHOWS WILL BE INVOICED.
