Increasing the Value of Membership

Online Registration Closed - Contact OSAE Office for Current Information

Location: Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square

The struggle to engage, activate, and retain members has never been greater. However, your organization can begin to close many of the gaps that exist between the organization and its members. Based on Mark’s bestselling first book, “13 Rules of Engagement,” this program takes attendees through a step-by-step approach to getting and keeping members in today’s marketplace. Topics addressed include identifying reasons to join, targeting the best prospects, delivering the message, putting the member back into membership, overcoming objections and a five-step approach to keeping the members you’ve worked so hard to obtain.

Seminar LeaderMark Levin CAE CSP

Mark Levin, CAE, CSP is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in leadership and membership development. He has over 30 years of experience in not-for-profit organizations, including staff positions as a membership director and chief staff officer of three organizations.

Mark’s reputation isn’t just based on experience – it’s based on his talent, too. He served for over 20 years on the faculty of the Institutes for Organization Management, a continuing education program sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Tens of thousands of volunteer and staff leaders have attended his programs worldwide, and they all can attest to his ability to present his topics in a unique, humorous, and interactive style.

An award winning author, Mark’s books have been hits on five continents and have won universal acclaim to the ability to train and inspire leaders in virtually every type of organization. His books on membership and retention are consistently on ASAE’s best seller lists and are recognized as valuable tools in the ongoing fight to attract and keep members.

Perhaps most importantly, Mark is not a “former” anything. His presentations are based not only on his previous experiences, but also on his day-to-day role as Executive Vice President of the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute, an international trade association.
