Second Quarter Meeting

Managing the Membership Experience

Location: Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square

Leading organizations are learning the strategic importance of the customer experience. To put it simply, it’s not about you or the organization. It’s about the member. To take advantage of this new marketplace, you need to understand what’s going on in people’s lives and how those factors affect members’ attitudes toward their organizations.  In this practical presentation, Mark will show you how to engage members and give them the experiences they want and value.

About the Presenter

Mark Levin, CAE, CSP is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts in leadershipMark Levin CAE CSP
and membership development. He has over 30 years of experience in not-for-profit organizations, including staff positions as a membership director and chief staff officer of three organizations.

Mark’s reputation isn’t just based on experience – it’s based on his talent, too. He served for over 20 years on the faculty of the Institutes for Organization Management, a continuing education program sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Tens of thousands of volunteer and staff leaders have attended his programs worldwide, and they all can attest to his ability to present his topics in a unique, humorous, and interactive style.

An award winning author, Mark’s books have been hits on five continents and have won universal acclaim to the ability to train and inspire leaders in virtually every type of organization. His books on membership and retention are consistently on ASAE’s best seller lists and are recognized as valuable tools in the ongoing fight to attract and keep members.

Perhaps most importantly, Mark is not a “former” anything. His presentations are based not only on his previous experiences, but also on his day-to-day role as Executive Vice President of the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute, an international trade association.
